Starting NOW and into 2026 and Beyond!
I have decided—without apology—that I will be an unrelenting, unwavering stand for the uplift and empowerment of Black Men and Boys.
- If that makes you uncomfortable, so be it. This is not about you.
- If that kinda thing makes you feel I am against YOU: Get over it, because its not about you!
Am I going to be inclusive in my stand and conversation? Absolutely, I welcome all views! But understand this: This will ALL be about uplifting Black Men and Boys! If you want to be in THAT conversation: You are definitely and 100% welcome and included!
First: Why the intense focus on Black Men
Some research for you to read (In case you need justification), I got plenty more, but lets start with this!
- The challenges facing Black men – and the case for action: Brookings Institute
- Re-Post from Website (The Conversation) “Black men face high discrimination and depression, even as their education and incomes rise”
Now that I got all that out the way: Imma speak to my brothers now!
Who We Are
- We are Kings.
- We are Leaders.
- We are Warriors.
- We are Culture Setters
- Think about this: If other men imitate US: THEY are considered cool, right?
- Well what are WE called when we try to imitate OTHER men? (I wont put those words in this post)
What I/We Will (or should) Not Do
- Not argue to prove our worth.
- Not defend every Black man because a few choose a different path.
- Not pretend everything is ok, when it isn’t.
This movement is not about debate—it’s about empowerment.
What I Stand For
- That Black Men recognize their power, purpose, and leadership.
- That Black Boys grow up confident, prepared, and ready to face the unique challenges THEY will face in manhood
- That our boys be prepared to thrive and stay positive even when the headwinds are aligned against their success.
- That Black Men start living and not just survive.
Despite what other say
- We love and protect our women.
- We care for our children.
- We strive to provide for our families.
- We deserve to be respected as fully human—nothing less.
What We Should Reject
- Shrinking ourselves to make others comfortable.
- Accepting invisibility.
- Hiding our true selves because the world fears our greatness.
Do we have obstacles? Yes! And….
- Yes, racism exists.
- Yes, media misrepresents us.
- Yes, lots of voices speak against us.
- Yes, lots of people AGREE with all of the above.
And….So what!
- None of this should define us.
- None of this should stop us.
- We should not bend to the weight of these false narratives.
- We will rise.
Our Call
- It is time to step boldly into our majesty.
- Time to claim our rightful place as Kings, Warriors, and Leaders.
- Time to live fully, unapologetically, and powerfully.
To my brothers: This is about us!!
- Our women, our children, our communities depend on us to be exactly who we are destined to be.
- Consider that the anger directed at us is because we have not stepped into our true power.
Time to fulfill our purpose and we are only obliged to humble ourselves to our God and the task our God assigned us.
And to the rest of the world: There is nothing to fear by seeing the real “US”
